Beauty holiday packing - what do you really need?

Now if your a beauty nutter like me you will know how hard it is to pack all your beauty essentials for your holiday and a luggage limit. These are some tips and tricks i have learnt from over the past and hope they will help you too.

Hand luggage

If you are traveling on plane then of course you know you have to be careful with liquids and the size of the products you take. So for me it’s just the essentials, you see many influencers taking their whole skincare routine on a flight but i just don’t have the effort to do all that. So i keep it very simple tissues, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, lip balm and hand cream. For me and thats all the beauty essentials i need!

Hot climate chilled holidays

I have had many requests for the type of makeup to take for such holidays as Florida where it is a warmer climate, a busy holiday but not a dressy holiday. When i went i learnt the hard way by taking my whole makeup routine making myself look nice and then it had all sweated off within an hour, but if you still want to wear a little bit this is what i ended up wearing.

Concealer - just for under my eyes and blemishes

Brows - they make such a difference to your face so i think it’s always nice to have your brows on

Mascara - again more of a finishing product just to look done and waterproof if possible

Highlighter - if your like me and still want that glow a cream highlight to give that subtle dewyness is perfect

Lip balm - they are going to dry out in a warmer climate and it’s always nice to have a hint of shine

Dressy holidays

So whether your going on a cooler or warmer type of holiday but there are the opportunities to dress up in the evenings, i do like personally to take a full face of makeup with a couple of eye and lip options. So this is where i recommend taking multi use palettes and saving up all your mini or sample makeup, so that way you are taking everything you need but keeping the weight limit down. Here in the photo i have nearly everything in a minature form including primer, foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, blush, eye palettes, glitter, mascara and lip products. I have options of a few different eye looks with my multi use palettes, choice of highlights to suit my darkening skin tone if on a warm holiday and a lip product for every occasion, including a nude, pink, red and shimmery lipgloss.

Hair products

I just like to keep my hair simple when i am away, i take the very basics and of course all in minature, you wouldn’t believe the weight this saves. I know you might think it’s alot of money but you can save up mini products throughout the year whether you buy them or get them in beauty boxes. So for me all i take is a shampoo and conditioner, a deep conditioning hair mask as your hair is going to get very dry from the sun and chlorine if thats the type of holiday your on. Heat protection for styling and a dry shampoo for them days where you don’t have time.

Skincare

At home i do have quite a strict skincare routine where i can take my time, but no matter what holiday i am on i don’t have the time or the want to do a full day and night skincare routine so i have kept it incredibly simple.

Micellar water to refresh my skin in the morning

First cleanser to remove my makeup

Second cleanser to clean my skin

Moisturise for obvious reasons

Of course makeup wipes are also a god send for that quick removal, take whatever your comfortable with and in reality what you will actually use while there.

Body products

You will see a theme in this blog that i believe in just taking the basics so again thats what i have! Shower gel, razor, toothbrush, toothpaste and body cream.  Thats all i personally would need but you take what else you would use.

Smellys and extras

So last but not least we still need to smell nice, so for me a little can of deodorant, a body mist for during the days by the pool or exploring. Then a nice bit of perfume for the evenings. And for me my bedtime routine is my deep sleep pillow spray and my caudalie beauty elixir facial spray.

I really hope this will help some of you with some packing tips, but please feel free to ask any questions or leave any tips of your own.
