The ordinary skincare review

So i'm sure you know how much hype there is around this brand. It is incredibly reasonable and so many products to choose from. They use active ingredients that are proven to work for our skin. They are very scientific named and worded so you really have to do your research in what you actually need for your skin type.

Caffeine solution 5% + EGCG

So this claims to reduce apprearance of eye contour pigmentation and puffiness. So i use this day and night without fail and yes i agree with the claims. For me i look alot less tired, my eyes are less puffy and i honestly think my dark circles are fading, whether it is just in my head or what but to me they look lighter.

Salicylic acid 2% solution

This is a solution for acne blemishes to help defeat them. So they say to apply this morning and evening, and two ways of doing so, you can either apply a thin layer all over the face like a serum to prevent break outs or to dot onto specific areas of trouble. I have tried both ways and i do prefer popping a cotton bud in and applying over areas where i normally breakout like my chin for example. I have noticed that i havn't had no where near as many breakouts as i normally do.

Niacinamide 10% + zinc 1%

So they say this serum targets breakouts, minimises pores and decongests confused complexions by regulating sebum production. So you apply this morning and night before heavier creams. Yes i can honestly say my skin is no where near as oily and i hardly ever see it seeping through my makeup so it must be doing something right. It is so light weight as well so your skin doesn't feel heavy after doing your entire skincare routine.

Hyaluronic acid 2% +b5

So even though i have oily skin, i do have quite dehydrated skin at the same time, my fault due to the lack of water i drink. So i use this serum on my casual days off from work and before i go to bed to try and hydrate my skin as much as i can. On my working days or if i am going out and doing my makeup nice i use my other serum to control my oil, so my skin is hopefully getting everything it needs. As soon as i put this on my skin it laps it up, it really does give my skin some life back.

High adherence silicone primer

This primer is beautiful!! It's not a normal silicone primer its a white colour and wetter consistency but still able to feel the silicone with in the product. But i think this is why i love it, it primes, hydrates and keeps my oils at bay. I personally think this is as far as they should go within their makeup range as it is still techinally a skincare product.

Coverage foundation

I was so excited to try this after seeing some videos on youtube saying this was the best foundation ever!!!! Now thats a statement! Unfortantly for me this isn't and i can't even stand to even use it up so i have passed it on. I was expecting a full coverage and i would say only medium didn't cover everything on my face, but i would say the last power is what lets it down the most, it started breaking away from my nose and chin after about 3 hours, which is so disapointing considering my other foundations have stopped breaking away thanks to my new skincare routine. But even with there silicone primer which is good for oily skin still no better. Normally i would use them up for work and it was such a reasonable price but i just don't want to my skin looks awful after a few hours wear.
