It's all about summer ☀️☀️

So winter is all about smokey eyes and vampy lips but when it comes to summer all you want is bronze bronze bronze!!! I will take you through what i think are essentials for that summer glow. 

First up you must protect your face, you should wear spf on your face everyday but even more so in summer when the rays are stronger. 

I love the body shop skin defence which is spf 50, it is so lightweight and doesn't have that greasy film left on your skin so its the perfect base for makeup or even to wear on it's own you know your skin is protected.

 With base products i personally like to use as light weight as possible theres nothing worse then the feel of makeup sweating off your face. Cushions foundations are perfect for summer as there so lightweight and don't provide a huge amount of coverage which for me is perfect for summer its great to even out your skintone. Powder wise i still like to powder my face as i do have an oily skin type, so something that is gonna keep my t zone matte, a transparent powder so it doesn't change the foundation and that still gives me a glowy lit look, so hourglass ambient lighting powders are the ones. 

All anyone wants in summer is a nice tan, but for some its harder then others, so bronzing in the summer is still essential part of my makeup routine.

These are some of my favourite bronzers, some high end and some drug store. They are all light enough for my pale skin but all still have different tones and warmth of bronze. Some are perfect for a more non makeup day when others are a bit more intense when you want that bronzy glowy look. My ulimate favourite bronzer is the urban decay it is just the perfect warm tone and matte and just gives you that summer bronze look.

Now onto the summer glow! I personally love the bam highlighter look, i want a blinding glow. Not all my highlighters are like thag i do have some more subtle but thats not what i'm about! 

I tend to use the same type of shade with all my highlights the pale champagne glow. I do have some more slightly golden shades like tarte or becca. I have two big favourites at the moment which is colourpop stole the show which is a cream to powder formula that is very  buildable and my ofra beverly hills which is just everything in life! The most blinding highlight it is just perfect. I did forget to include the sleek solstice palette which is a sure drugstore favourite very affordable and very blinding.  

Now i'm not a major lipgloss fan at all i hate that stickiness you can feel on your lips, but recently i have wanted that little bit of shine and glossiness either on there own or on top of a lipstick, i have to say the clarins lip perfectors are my total fav they are gorgeous in every way, i just want to eat my lips when i wear them. But then i wanted to get a bit of sparkle to lips so thats where the rest of my glosses come in, the Marc jacob ones are beauts not sticky at all and the one i have in love buzz is an iridescent pink which catches the light and looks lovely more subtle then a glitter. Though when there is the occasion that i want bling and glitter i turn to mac which again is an iridescent white colour which chunky glitter and is going to be perfect for my cruise. 

Last but not least and the final step of any makeup routine i do is setting spray. I am mainly a matte girl but when i fancy that dewy look i use the Marc Jacobs coconut dewy setting spray for that controllable sweaty look! But mostly i want to look matte and control my oil so i either use the loreal infallible fixing mist which is a great price for the drugstore and it probably still is the best at controlling my oil. High end version i love the Gerard cosmetics slay all day setting sprays, he has loads of different scents and which i own cucumber and watermelon.
