Drugstore haul and first impressions

I havn't done a drugstore haul in quite a while as I am sucker for the high end goodies, but as I was so impressed with the l'oreal infalliable matte foundation set I though i would see if there was any more gems to be found. So I picked a couple of makeup bits and a few more bits for New York.

First item I bought was the real techniques brush cleansing palette, I was so excited to see they were coming out with this, I've since pictures of the sigma version and thought what a great idea they were. This was £12.99 which is a little expensive for a bit of plastic but it will last for ever so in the long run it is definatly worth the investment. This also comes with two free samples of the brush cleansing gel which is great as it is a brilliant brush cleaner. I used this for the first time a couple of days ago and I love it! It make cleaning brushes so much quicker and easier, where it has all the different texture it takes seconds to clean the brushes, I popped a little bit of the gel in the middle and massaged my brushes all over the pad. This is a life saver when your cleaning all your brushes at once, as we all know rubbing the brushes and soap in your hands for a good hour can leave them slighty sore. Well done real techniques!

Next was the l'oreal infallible 24hour matte powder, I had to get this to see whether it was as good as the rest of the infallible matte range. The shade range is slightly disapointing as there is only three shades in which I got the lightest which is 123 vanilla, it would have been better if they did the matching powder shades to the foundation but that is my only critism. This powder is as fab as the rest of the range, is a very finely milled powder and sets my makeup instantly and keeps me mate most of the day, that is all I ask for in a powder so i'm happy.

I have seen everyone and their mother rave about this mascara, and again I don't often use drugstore mascara but thought I would give it ago. I have used it for two days now and so far it's slightly better then an average mascara, it's very good at lengthing not so much on the volume side. But i will keep using it though as it is good, I was just hoping for it to be slightly better.

Now this product did take off in 2015, I have been using the benefit gimmie brow for about a year and really like that. Though with the l'oreal i have bought the transparent colour as I just wanted it as brow set and didnt want it changing the colour that I had already applied. Once applied and set, they don't feel crispy but they do feel set and that there not going to budge all day.

I don't often use liquid liner but sometimes I am partial to a cat flick every now and then. I didn't want to spend alot of money on one as i don't use them often and it will probably dry out before I use it up. I havn't used a proper liquid liner for years I always used the felt tips but thought I would give it a go again, I just went for a ordinary waterproof makeup revolution liquid liner and so far so good, was really easy to apply wiith a slightly stiff brush and did a cat flick easy peasy.

Last but not least is a last few things for New York, nothing to exciting accept for yes to now doing the blueberry scent in the travel wipes.
